A traditional part of male Highland dress, the sporran is meant to serve as a pocket or wallet when worn with the kilt, which, traditionally, does not have pockets.
Sporrans, from the most basic motif to the lavishly ornate, are most often crafted of leather or fur, the design and ornamentation varying greatly, depending upon the formality of the occasion. The male's Highland attire is simply not complete without one!
Most often meant to be worn centred on and below the belt buckle, usually from its own chain or strap; it is often turned to hang more casually on the hip when a heavy pouch in front may interfere with dancing, driving or other activities.

Good semi-dress light weight appropriate for Scottish Country Dancing with no heavy metal decor as in a full dress , but yet more stylish than an everyday leather only type. Good capacity, easy flexible flap access achieved by using one piece of leather which also forms the back. Good strong strap fixing on the back. (Note strap must be ordered separately if needed). Arrived in 24 hours at no P&P cost. Excellent service.
