Scotland has two flags, the St Andrews Cross (or Saltire), and the Royal Standard of Scotland (Lion Rampant). The Saltire is the national flag of Scotland, rather than the Royal Standard of Scotland. The Saltire is the correct flag for all individuals and corporate bodies to fly in order to demonstrate both their loyalty and Scottish nationality. The Royal Standard of Scotland flag is used at the Royal residences of Holyrood Palace and Balmoral Castle when the sovereign is not present.
